Re: Notification for away when using wireless keyfob
Hooked it up yesterday. It works great. A little different than I expected. A long button press arms with exit delay. A quick button press arms then almost instantly toggles the zone. System ends exit delay in about 8 seconds. Exactly what I wanted. Thanks for your help!

Re: Notification for away when using wireless keyfob
I think I'm thinking the same as you. I have a normally closed circuit zone system with no termination resistors. Thus I need to change the essentially normally open CE3 circuit to normally closed. I purchased a $4.50 relay (DPDT-2A-12V, PN:R40-11D2-12, MFG:NTE = 2 form C relays off of one coil) at ...

Re: Notification for away when using wireless keyfob
I like the idea and really appreciate you putting time.into my issue. I actually have 2 garage doors and use buttons 3 and 4 for each one. Thus I would love to figure out if I can get the button 1 zone toggle to work. I will try calling Honeywell and tell you if I get anywhere. If not I plan to try ...

Re: Notification for away when using wireless keyfob
Hashtag thank you for the reply! I would like to keep the relay (button 4) for opening my garage door (which works great), but will go to that if this doesn't work. The CE3 has another single wire output that is called momentary zone toggle (500mA (-)) that supposedly can toggle a zone with a quick ...

Re: Notification for away when using wireless keyfob
Great News, but I still need advise! The CE3 (Code Encryptor 3) wireless keyfob receiver comes with a From C relay and an output specifically designed to toggle an Entry/Exit zone (Gray wire = 500ma (-) momentary output). I'm using the relay for my garage door, so I hooked up the CE3 momentary ...

Re: DSC 1616 and EnvisaLink 3
Just put an E3 on my 1616. There were no DSC programming required changes. The E3 is wired to the 1616 as if it were a keypad. You need an ethernet cable to plug into the E3 so it can talk to the outside world. The phone line disable instructions you linked I'm sure wouldn't hurt. However you could ...

Re: Notification for away when using wireless keyfob
Thanks for the reply. I tried setting the exit delay to zero (0) but it turns out DSC is trying to prevent false alarms and has a 45 second minimum. Thanks DSC.. I also looked at the "Exit Delay Termination" option which ends the exit delay immediately after a door opens and closes. This option is a ...

Notification for away when using wireless keyfob
Love the E3 I just installed on my DSC PC1616. I purchased the E3 because I use a wireless keyfob in my car to arm/disarm the system, but its not bi-directional so I get no feedback that the system actually armed when I leave. Specifically the wireless keyfob is a Honeywell Code Encryptor 3 (http ...
