Re: EnvisaLink 4 TPI Issues: Regular timeouts

I have seen this exact same issue with the EVL3 for Ademco panel, a lot of users of my software have reported this problem.
The problem doesn't seem to occur with DSC panels.

Re: Envisalink 4 spotted at ISC West

Is there any difference between the TPI for EVL3 and TPI for EVL4 ?
In other words if a software was working with EVL3, is it supposwed to work with EVL4 without any change?

thanks

Re: Envisalink - TPI Documentation

I tried to use the zone timers dumps to workaround the zone status problem, but the timer dumps seem buggy as well. According to the TPI doc, an open zone is supposed to be reported as FFFF in the hex string dump, but according to my tests an open zone can also be reported as FEFF or FDFF. Can ...

Re: z-wave / home automation expansion?

No, the IT-230 is for C24 Interactive (somewhat defunct now) only. If you want to add Z-wave I would recommend the MicasaVerde Lite controller which integrates with the Envisalink quite well. An alternative to MicasaVerde is HomeSeer. I'm using Homeseer with Z-wave and EnvisaLink, and it works very ...

Re: Envisalink - TPI Documentation

Just started working with the Honeywell TPI. I've connected to a system and get data but it seems like I'm missing some items. %00, %02 and %FF come through, no issue. %01 events do not appear to be coming through. When a zone breaks I see the %00 keypad update and the %02 partition change, but ...

Re: Additional User Info

Looks like the keyfob is correctly setup because when it is used to disarm the system, it report a "User Opening" message with a correct user id.
But when it is used to arm the sytem, there is no "User Closing" message.

Why arming and disarming would work differently?

Re: Additional User Info

more specifically it looks like when a user disarm the system with a keyfob the TPI correctly sends a "User Opening" message, but when a user arm the system with the same keyfob, the TPI doesn't send any "User Closing" message.

Is this a bug?

Could you give more details on this? What's the use for it?

EmvisaLink EVL-3 vs DSC IT-100

For french speakers, here is a post from my blog comparing EnvisaLink EVL-3 and DSC IT-100, focusing on their integration with a Home Automation system like HomeSeer:

Re: EVL-3 for Monitoring ONLY

For example you can interface the EVL3 with HomeSeer (a Home Automation software), and then monitor and have full functionality of your security system without having the EVL3 directly connected to the internet at all. For example HomeSeer can call or text me when an alarm goes on, I use my DSC ...
