Re: Board Troubleshoot
Thanks. I continued messing with it last night and figured out that one of my troubleshoot steps I didn't mention previously was making the situation worse... I had moved the Ethernet line to a different port to try to see if maybe my old hub had died... and the switch I moved the line to didn't ...

Board Troubleshoot
I have an Envisalink 3 that's performed exactly the way I needed it to for the past 2 years with my Vista 20P. I was away a couple of weeks ago and received a network supervision fault. When I got home, the keypad was showing the 6F fault and beeping away. I popped open the panel to look at the LEDs ...

Honeywell Setup Improvement Suggestion
So, as a suggestion for improvement, the Quick Start Manual for the EnvisaLink 3 has the first step to be Connect the Module to the Control Panel. The second thing, Panel Programming, which points you to a website if you have a Honeywell. On this website, it states that it's very important to ...

Re: Flaky Setup
Finally had time to try this today. Factory reset didn't work. One odd thing; it looks like pin 3 is labelled SI, not pin 2 like the instructions state? Any ideas?

Re: Flaky Setup
...one other question. How much of a network stack is implemented on the device? If it had an issued IP address (which I don't think it does, even though the LED reports it's linked), would it respond to pings? I guess it doesn't matter. If I run a reverse ARP lookup, my computer is reporting that ...

Re: Flaky Setup
So I have triple checked my panel wiring and everything in there is ok (i.e. I removed power & battery and checked for continuity on things that should be connected and no continuity between pins that shouldn't). I also checked the resistance on the wires going to the board from the panel, and each ...

Flaky Setup
I initially set up my Envisalink 3 with my Honeywell Vista 20P about a month ago. For about 2 weeks, everything worked great. I have 2 keypads and 6 wireless sensors (no extra monitoring or sirens or anything), so it's a pretty simple panel that I wired myself. About a week ago, the Envisalink ...
