Re: DSC 1832 Programming Section 341
Here is my reasoning as why I believe that it is an Envisalink issue and not a programming issue. The Envisalink module is not by default a communications device, for lack of understanding of a better term I see it as a supervision module in that it supervises the activity of the alarm system and ...

Re: DSC 1832 Programming Section 341
Thanks for your help, although as I mentioned, I have everything related to the panel programming itself disabled, leading me to believe that the envisalink module itself is forcing these signals. Kind of like how if I disable the installer lead in/out reporting codes, you can still see the signal ...

DSC 1832 Programming Section 341
Hello, DSC Programming Section 341 dictates the reporting codes used for miscellaneous closing. There are five features you can have the alarm panel report codes from in this section. The manual says to input the value of 00 into any field you want to disable the reporting code. I have entered 00 ...

Re: Arming Multiple Partitions, and another question.
I understand that I don't need multiple partitions, however when it comes down to having 32 zones and about 24 of them are individual windows that I like to leave open during the summer I find arming separate partitions to be much easier than manually bypassing each zone. I also know that there is a ...

Re: Quick question and advice (dsc v. vista and local contro
What features are you looking for? And yes you can control your envisalink module locally ( I assume you mean within your LAN ) via the mobile link. Being an alarm tech, and owning my own alarm company, I only install DSC for my clients. It used to be because that was what I was most familiar with ...

Arming Multiple Partitions, and another question.
Hey all, Quick question, I have set up a dsc 1832 with two partitions, one for doors and windows, one just for motions, does the same thing as stay/away (reasoning unnecessary) . Anyway my question is this: is there a way to arm both partitions at once? I know the Master Code is supposed to do this ...

Re: Periodic Test Transmission Question
Brilliant!
That would do just fine. Being new to the community, where would I find the news if this ever does become an active feature?

Re: Periodic Test Transmission Question
I stand corrected. On the newer DSC panel you have an option to change Days to Minutes which would allow you to send a Periodic Test Transmission every minute if you so choose. Hey, no worries, I am thrilled that you are willing to learn, out of the many alarm installers I know, none are so willing ...

Re: Periodic Test Transmission Question
Thanks Mike,
I will certainly check that out. I love testing out new services!!! I would like to see it implemented on the Envisalink though.

Re: New Feature Requests
If I were trying to get in and I knew you had an envisalink, I'd probably cut your internet connection first before kicking the door in. Seems like the important message is "loss of supervision", counting on an entry event to happen first might not cover all situations. Mike I am trying to get the ...
