Re: Envisadroid updated, looking for dev test systems
mikep, you're definitely not out of line. I appreciate the input. Now I'll just have to ask my kids (who are software engineers) how to use an SSH bridge with the Envisaalink program As for unprotected ports, I thought hackers tried all ports. I use LastPass to generate strong passwords - besides ...

Re: Envisadroid updated, looking for dev test systems
I see a lot of references that the port for the envislink 3 is 4025. When does one find this to confirm that's what it is on my router? (I want to forward that port to DYNDNS.) Also, I also cannot figure out how to login on EvisaDroid. I see same comment in the PlayStore comments. I have it set to ...

Re: Foscam 9821 v2 support
What is the advantage of having a camera supported? Is it just to make setup easier? Many cameras can easily be securely used over the the internet. Do the supported cameras interface motion detection and can set off the security system alarm or send a signal? Many of the Foscam cameras have ...

Re: FYI: Using Envisalink 3 w/ Mifi device
Thanks for the info on the T-Mobile plan. I've just learned that the WiMax network upon which FreedomPop is based is closing down in the foreseeable future. I doubt that they will continue the free 500Mb plan after that. Although currently an additional 500Mb on top of the free 500 is only $4/month ...

Re: FYI: Using Envisalink 3 w/ Mifi device
The envisalink line cutting supervision feature is great, but I was looking for more than just a simple notification that the connection was lost because it could be lost because Comcast is having a hiccup, or my modem, or my router, or I could have lost power. I have not done exhaustive research on ...

Re: FYI: Using Envisalink 3 w/ Mifi device
We're both lost. I don't know how I am hooking it up. My initial plan was to wire the EVL3 to my Comcast cable and have a dumb one way voice message dialing alarm only notification from the 1864 using a cellular connection. I switched from a GSM type cellular connection as I thought I could get a no ...

Re: FYI: Using Envisalink 3 w/ Mifi device
I may not need to switch between the FreedomPop MiFi and my Comcast cable after all. For FreedomPop to be free the usage has to be under 500MB. By only using FreedomPop if the wired internet was down I was trying to keep the FreedomPop MiFi connection under that 500MB. I found a thread here which ...

Re: What is envisalink daily data send/receive range?
found my answer here:

According to the Grandwizard:
"The Envisalink (when activated) uses about 20kB (upstream) per hour, roughly 20MB per month. A drop in the bucket compared to your VoIP traffic."

What is envisalink daily data send/receive range?
Approximately how much (or little) data (in MBs) does an Envisalink send or receive on a daily basis assuming minimal arming and disarming and no alarm notifications or camera monitoring but just supervising the connection to see if its working? Would a plan that provides 500Mb a month be sufficient ...

Re: Upgraded Camera Support
Are Foscam IP cameras the only ones that will work with the Envisalink3 (without a DVR)? If so, why only Foscam ones? Or is it that Foscam cameras are the only ones which are automatically found and configured? What about Wanscam IP cameras, or D-Link, Hawking, Vivetar, Linksys (gasp),Creative ...
