The problem is that every solution requires another server running locally, with ports forwarded, to work. So I have to run my own server to talk to the web server in the envisalink to talk to a crappy app made by who knows that I have on my phone? That's not a solution. I'm a huge fan, and I recomm...

They really don't have any interest in hooking into other services/devices or making mobile apps. The company line is that they provide the TPI interface + Documentation, and you should go learn programming and figure it out.

I understand how powerful it is, and I appreciate the TPI documentation. My point I guess is that Eyez-On could, pretty easily, remove the burden of learning programming and cludging together scripts and devices by making a well made mobile app. It is cumbersome to load a webpage and issue a disarm ...

I think people are frustrated because there are no good alternatives. Many people (including myself) bought this system to replace a monitoring company, and keep a close eye on homes and property. To this end, envisalink works okay. But the trend in almost every other product is cloud based interact...
