Re: New DSC user; help with a couple things

OK... like I mentioned I am the average homeowner Joe... although I have a fair concept of alarm programming (probably just enough to be dangerous). Now when I did the above mentioned steps to turn on QUICK ARM without a code... all works well with mobile portal. However, my wireless key fob now ...

Re: New DSC user; help with a couple things

I have emailed him.... waiting his response. My primary reason for getting this was to go behind my dog sitter who for some reason cannot arm my system back when he leaves. After I see how good it is, I may consider their monitoring services.

Re: New DSC user; help with a couple things

On my wireless keyfob, I can arm away just fine, but on my keypad, if I press away it prompts me to enter a code. The arm away on the mobile portal does nothing. I need to figure out how reprogram the away button to not require the code. Easier said than done since I don't know the installer code. I ...

Re: New DSC user; help with a couple things

A COUPLE things I know: 5555 is not my installer code... I also know my installer very well, BUT his company is kinda weird. They may "Disown" me per se if they know I installed an Envisalink 3.... because I am sure they would have charge hundred of $$$ to come installer a similar module. I just don ...

Re: New DSC user; help with a couple things

That's my problem. I don't know how to access my panel options. Even if I did, I would know know what I am doing. I'm just average homeowner who uses an alarm... Not an installer. I would love to get some in depth help.

Re: New DSC user; help with a couple things

I don't think my system will arm without a code. On the mobile portal I see an option to enter a code and an ARM button. It does not say arm away or arm stay. Then when you scroll down it says has a choice to *9 arm and then I see a stay arm and away arm without code. I am thinking my system will ...

New DSC user; help with a couple things

Just got my Envisalink3 installed today to my DSC PowerSeries 1832. Works fine but as a new user I am having trouble understanding a couple of things. I am a homeowner.... not an alarm installer. There is much on the programming side of things I don't understand. I know how to bypass zones, and set ...
