Re: Network faults lately...
Changing DNS servers didn't do it. I then lowered the security on my router to the lowest level. That didn't do it. I then opened the specified ports in the firewall to the card. That didn't do it. I changed the card from being plugged directly into the touter to into my switch. That didn't do it ...

Re: Network faults lately...
I changed my FIOS router to use its own DNS servers to using 8.8.8.8. We will see if that fixes it. The alarm is plugged right into the FIOS router with no switch. Even if it was using my switch, it is over $400 so not a cheap one.

Re: Zone attribute 7 not working?
Not a big deal.
I just like to not burden the alarm company with non-real alarms whenever possible.
But I just changed the zone to a Delay-1 zone as another way to address that.

Zone attribute 7 not working?
I have a rear door which I didn't want to be an "entry" door with a delay for the alarm to start, but I did accidentally exit through it when the alarm was on. My solution was to turn on zone attribute 7 so that there would be communication delay but have instant bell. This was the best of both ...

UI
I really like this system, but the UI is not intuitive because there are clickable areas that give no visual clue that you can click on them. For example, the black bar says "system" and "manage device." One is clickable, and one is not, but they are both white text on a black bar. Usually you make ...

Re: Zone Followers
When this feature was enabled, it was specifically stated that they would keep an eye on traffic and disable it if necessary: http://forum.eyez-on.com/FORUM/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=180 We are going to evaluate network traffic to see how this feature impacts the servers. If we find it is too much we ...

Can the EnvisaLink clone a DSC 1832 programming?
I want to replace my 16 year old version 2 DSC 1832 with a new version 6 one. It is has two partitions and 29 zones - so I am not looking forward to correctly reprogramming the new board. I could use the DLS-2002 software and a PC-LINK cable with a USB adaptor, but that seems like a lot of trouble ...

Re: Envisalink 3 and Alarm Relay monitoring
Aside from people who already have accounts with Alarm Relay, why use them? They charge a little more (not much more), and they have no fancy web set up interface. I don't know about you, but I am not into calling people and have them tell me how to set something up on the phone when I can just put ...
