Re: Zone Followers
May I respectfully suggest that even a Grand Wizard sometimes misunderstands a problem. One motion detector being followed could easily generate far more traffic in a week than I've generated in the 3 years that I've had my 7 zones followed (my average has been two messages per week). You accurately ...

Re: Zone Followers
... I was at a meeting in October of 2012 where it shown that of 2430 events that happened in a sample minute, 1900 where idle zone followers. All generated by the 8% of users that actually use this feature. The mail system admins where playing a never-ending game of "whack-a-mole" trying to keep ...

Re: Zone Followers
Ok, I think I have an answer. The admins switched to a new database replicator on Tuesday which required a re-sync of all databases. When we moved to only allowing 1 zone per Envisalink back in 2012, there was bug on the portal side that allowed some customers to get unlimited zone followers. The ...

Re: Bogus "Device Off-Line Alert" from Eyez-On?
Interesting. Thanks for that info.
Count me as a very satisfied 2DS/Envisalarm customer. For over two years, I've only had a few minor glitches, such as today's, which were very quickly resolved.

Re: Bogus "Device Off-Line Alert" from Eyez-On?
It's comforting to know that even Wizards have glitches :D but, I'm surprised the Consolidated Monitoring person I spoke with couldn't check their connectivity to my 2DS without an event occurring. I would have assumed they had a "Last Updated" status screen like the one on my Eyez-On portal. Is it ...

Bogus "Device Off-Line Alert" from Eyez-On?
I'm out-of-town and just received an Alert Email from noreply@eyezon.com that said: "Please be advised that your monitored device XXXXXXXXXXXX has been off-line for at least 24 hours. Please check your network. You will continue to receive these alerts until you have resolved the problem" I then ...

Re: No Email upon Network Restoral
First, I should note that I feel guilty complaining about this minor item because the 2DS is such a terrific, reasonably priced product. I understand the reasoning for going into an "uninstalled" mode. But I was on the phone with AT&T as they restored service (about 5 days after it went off) and my ...

No Email upon Network Restoral
My Internet went off at my unattended house last week and I received a "Network Supervision Fault" email (as expected). The next day I received an email "Please be advised that your monitored device... has been off-line for at least 24 hours. Please check your network" (very nice touch). Earlier ...

Re: Add camera system to Envisalink
Rich, Thanks for not forgetting about me. Unfortunately I don't have a static IP. My D-Link router has a built-in DDNS client for their free DDNS service. It gets the new IP address after a power fail reboot but not after my DSL modem’s IP address simply changes (which AT&T does occasionally). Of c ...

Re: Add camera system to Envisalink
I'm still wondering if the "Camera" feature can be used with HTTPS cameras/devices that are on the same LAN as my 2DS? Since only the port number is entered to configure a camera/device on the same LAN as my 2DS, it appears this feature can only be used with HTTP cameras/devices (unless I'm missing ...
