Re: Bell Circuit Trouble Alarm
Guess I could have been less succinct... Check the circuit associated with your Wave2 sirens. Disconnect the Bell-/Bell+ wire leads and measure the resistance. An open circuit indicates a break in the wiring or bad siren/bell. If you didn't receive a "Bell Circuit Trouble Restoral" then the issue ...

Re: Bell Circuit Trouble Alarm
This alarm indicates that the panel is detecting an open or short circuit across the bell terminals.

Glad to hear it went well.
I agree - full message keypads are great for programming your system. What do you think of the new PTK5507 ?

Re: EYEZ-ON EVL-3 and DC PowerSeries PC1832 Keypad PK5501 Qu
Hi damavr, I haven't personally installed one of these puppies, but it should be pretty straightforward. It utilizes the same 4 wires (green, yellow, black, red) as your current PK5501. The terminals are labeled pretty clearly so it's a no-brainer. If you're lucky the mounting holes on the backplate ...

Hi damavr,
You need to turn off the TLM (Telephone Line Monitoring) option on your panel.
If you have the Installer Code and are fairly comfortable navigating through the programming, you need to turn off option #7 in Section 015.

Re: Firmware update trigger an alarm
Hi olehir / Skyline I took a quick look at my DSC manual and found two instances where a system trouble could activate the bell output..... 1. Option 8 of Section 015. If this option is ON, the system activates the bell output if a telephone line trouble is detected while the system is armed. 2 ...

Re: Setting off the DSC siren remotely from Envisalink
Hi eastnwest88, Another option you may consider is to remotely initiate a System Test of your DSC panel. This is achieved by entering *6[Master Code]4 in the Custom Sequence section of the portal. "The system activates all keypad sounders, bells or sirens for 2 seconds and all keypad lights turn on ...

Re: Request for suggestion - back door contact open
Hi, You do not need to purchase the exact match for what you have, after all it's just a magnet. Before you go out and buy something, try to determine if the magnet and contact are misaligned. I've seen doors / windows where the installer was off by quite a bit. All you may need is a drill and the ...

Re: Request for suggestion - back door contact open
Did you check the connection at the panel for that specific zone ? Ensure the wires are nice and tight where they terminate into the board. Check the line (at the panel) with a multimeter to verfiy a change of state when the door is opened and closed. This will help you ascertain whether the issue ...
