Amazon Echo / Alexa Skills Status?

What's the status of an EnvisaLink Skill for Amazon Alexa / Echo?

Looks like a straightforward API, and the ability to arm/disarm via voice command would be a huge benefit.

Envisalink 4 Differences to 3 and 2DS

I've tried searching for the answer(s), but if they're in a thread, I can't find them. Hopefully the title of this thread will pop up in searches if others have the same question. What's the difference between the Envisalink 2Ds, Envisalink 3 (EVL3), and Envisalink 4 (EVL4)? I've had the 2DS for a ...

Using Envisalink to make Septic Alarm Smarter

I recently used a 120V relay to a DSC wireless contact so that my Envisalink would email and text me if my septic alarm sounded. Lots of pictures in my blog post!

GrandWizard: I'm happy to provide an introduction to the guys at ecobee (they just released the ecobee3). I bet they'd be very interested to work with you. Coordinating alarm and thermostat seems like a no brainer -- users want them both set accordingly when they "leave" and "arrive." :)

Re: HoneyWell AlarmServer on GitHub

Count me in as an interested party here. I've got an EnvisaLink 2DS and a SmartThings hub.

Having them "talk to each other" would be awesome. You could use alarm motions sensors as event triggers for lights when you walk into a room!

Auto time setting with alarms in two time zones?

I have one house in Pacific Time Zone, and a second one in Mountain Time Zone. I have 2DS units in each home, but the time zone settings are based on the Account level, instead of the Location level... which means that one of the systems will always be wrong.

Any plans to address this? Thanks!

Re: Automatic Network Time Updates Now Available

What if you have two different systems on the same account, but the houses are in different time zones? Each system should be allowed to have its own time zone, rather than use the time zone from account.

Thanks!

My EnvisAlarm Monitoring Test Results

I have EnvisAlarm monitoring two of my residences, and so I was curious to see their response time in the event of an actual alarm. Normally, to test your alarm, you call the monitoring company and have them put your alarm in "test mode," but I didn't want to test their test mode - I wanted to test ...
