Re: lost local network access
Thanks! I didn't know about the internal firewall but that explains it - I was trying to connect from a different subnet/VLAN.

lost local network access
I have an Envisalink 2DS managing a DSC 1864 panel. After a power failure, the Envisalink device is no longer accessible on the local network. It's still got ethernet access at the physical layer (it gets the correct IP address via DHCP, and I can ping it) and is still talking fine to your cloud ...

Re: sms to t-mobile usa
Actually with some further experimentation, I'm not sure the sender email address format matters. What does seem to matter is if the email has attachments. If the email has any attachments (including, if it's sent as "rich text" email including an HTML version) then it goes to T-Mo's MMS gateway ...

Re: sms to t-mobile usa
To be clear: it looks like right now, notification messages come from "noreply@eyezon.com". If instead you made the notification messages come from "noreply@eyezon.com <Eyez-On Notification>", I think this would do the trick. If I mail myself at the tmomail.net address and the sender is "me@domain ...

sms to t-mobile usa
Hi, I just switched my cell carrier to T-Mobile. After reconfiguring my notification mail settings in the eyez-on portal (which, correctly, resulted in a notification address of xxxxxxxxxx@tmomail.net), I started getting SMS notifications that come from a different short number each time, which ...

Re: Envisalink 2DS - TPI Documentation
For those looking for sample code, here's a little snippet of Python I've been playing with.
It's basically just a monitor -- it logs in, listens for events generated by the system, and prints them out -- it also sends the poll command every 10 seconds to make sure the connection is still alive.

Re: Envisalink 2DS - TPI Documentation
Is this thread a good place to post questions/clarifications about the docs? I was able to get a test app working without a whole lot of trouble, but it would have been much easier if the intro section had said that *I* send the envisalink the commands in section 3.2 ("application commands"), and ...

propagation delays / response time
I've been playing with the 2DS and the mobile web interface (smartphone link) and it seems really slow to respond from the cloud. Scenario 1: I open a zone, then load the cloud UI via the smartphone link, or hit refresh if it's already open. My DSC keypads react right away, and the local web UI ...

Re: LOOKING FOR OPTION
You can set it to SMS you when the right events happen by going to "manage contacts", "add new contact" and give it your SMS address, "assign devices", "enable", (you may have to refresh here), "modify", and tell it what events to notify you about. Getting an SMS for the garage door opening is ...
