Using mobile link with 2DS and iOS 6
With iOS 5.x on my iPhone 4 I would leave a browser tab with the mobile link loaded all the time. (I have a passcode lock enabled on the phone.) I was able to control the alarm panel without problem. I left the browser tab open for months and browsed hundreds of other sites on other tabs and never h...

Re: Date and Time Format in a SMS Text Message
Is there any way to know the system was armed by a particular user rather than an anonymous arming and send a single message? i.e. Away Arm by User... If you use "arm stay" or "arm away" without code, the panel has no way of knowing who you are. It's like pressing "arm stay...

Re: Changing the HTTP port!
It seems that by stating "not standard network traffic", he is referring to broadcast traffic. Well, I meant "not unicast." Although I might be concerned if he had this level of broadcast traffic on a home LAN. It may indicate something is running a muck on his home network (vir...

Re: SMS outage for SBCGlobal, Rogers, and Fido
One of our alerting servers has been blacklisted as a SPAM provider For several months I was trying to sign up for these forums and was never able to get the registration email. I didn't think too highly of the company. :) Finally it hit me and I tried an email address on a different ISP and everyt...

Re: Envisalink 2DS firmware 1.07.80 Released
I've done the packet sniffing. Traffic to/from the Envisalink server is UDP. I don't have any TPI apps though.graham wrote:I'm not so sure the communications is TCP. While I haven't done any packet sniffing, my router only shows UPD ports active from the envisalink card.

Re: Changing the HTTP port!
I can't think of why on a busy network - one would need to do that and access the 2DS from the WAN side. I had a problem with my 2DS rebooting repeatedly. I did about 2 weeks of troubleshooting directly with Envisacor, and went through several firmwares. In the end the only possibility left was tha...

Re: Changing the HTTP port!
You are telling me that you would put a router behind a router to block unwanted traffic accessing port 80? Even on a busy network, no matter how much traffic, when you put in the IP request to the 2DS, it will hit the 2DS. If it's not doing that - you have other issues aside from traffic. This isn...

Re: Delayed events with 1.07.78
Zone status is provided in real-time in the zone status grid and on the expanded zone list, you should use those to determine zone status, and when a zone closed. You should not enable zone followers unless you intend to be alerted (email/SMS) to a zone change and have a real need for this. Feature...

Delayed events with 1.07.78
With the new firmware, notifications of doors closing are delayed. For example: - arm alarm - open door - exit - close door or - open door - enter - close door - disarm alarm that used to show up as a list of events having the right times in the previous firmwares (I was on the beta track for a whil...

Re: Router not recognizing 2DS
I've just installed a 2DS module replacing a DSC TL-150 that was working perfectly with the same router, network cable etc. The problem is that the module does not appear to be registering with my router. I've checked the router's DCHP table and there is no entry corresponding to the 2DS's MAC addr...
