Re: Envisalink 4 spotted at ISC West

@Pestus, there is also movement in that space to move away from the dependency on only the IT100. Extra Vegetables Generic Security System interface expands panels and manufactures/models rather than bespoked individual requirements. http://www.extravegetables.com/category/control-4-catalog/utility...

Re: Envisalink 4 spotted at ISC West

As the DIY home automation market continues to grown, the first thing they hit on is value for money and return of investment and therefore the integration with a alarm system becomes very apparent. That is where the expanding requirement comes from, and I will say that some HA forum still promote ...

Re: Envisalink 4 spotted at ISC West

NEO Support: The DSC NEO has a completely different physical interface so there is no chance of it being supported on this platform. While we're still considering supporting this panel in the future, right now the numbers just don't justify the effort. This is unfortunate. In the professional field...

Re: Envisalink 4 spotted at ISC West

Is a good thing it worked, I never read that on the specs when deciding to buy the envi 3 That was what I was trying to say. I've put 93 of these in service already. I hope that I don't need to start stocking old switches just to keep them relevant in future years.. Also complicates the UPS systems...

Re: Envisalink 4 spotted at ISC West

It won't be long I think before 10BaseT is dropped entirely by router and switch makers. You saying Envisacor has this thing linking at 10Mbps, and not 100? That's a really odd design choice.

Re: Envisalink 4 spotted at ISC West

w00t. DLS you say... I assume this to mean you've got the PC-Link cable thing going on, since the old DVACs module hack shouldn't let you get that far. GSM? Oh heck yes.. You guys have any pilot programs for pros? I've been with you a long time, and would be happy to test bench / guinney pig a willi...

Re: Zone Followers

BK553, From what I understood, the choice to use a web based portal was to minimize development issues relating to cross platform compatibility. I take your point about there being a need for native apps for iOS and Android, etc. They'd be sharper with more features. On the other hand, I live and wo...

Re: Zone Followers

BK553, Not to start an argument, but if you are looking to replace a monitoring company with this, and you are having problems with either the features they offer, or how hard it is to get what you need from it, please consider that these folks offer this cloud service for free. Most other interacti...

Re: Zone Followers

I repeat, this: I'd also suggest that it's one thing to ask for a premium payment for certain features. That's fair game. To roll back features people have already become accustomed to will only draw immense ire from the community at large, not bring in more revenue. Although it's clear now that thi...
