Re: EnvisAlarm/Monitoring Station
I think I've found enough searching the forums to answer my other question, I need to disable TLM, which appears to be the 015 7 option and maybe the 371 and 380 need to change as well. The forum not allowing to search with only 3 characters is a little painful.

Re: EnvisAlarm/Monitoring Station
I'll kind of answer my one question myself, spotted your response in another thread.
I really should be browsing this forum more often
I can't see a reason to keep the EVL3 installed. It will also support 2 simultaneous connections which is nice

Re: EnvisAlarm/Monitoring Station
Thank you for clarifying that for me! I have some followup questions. If I go with the DUO, there isn't much point in keeping the EVL3 installed is there? Would keeping it installed allow for multiple TPI connections (not sure I really have a use case for this either though)? I presume I'd have to ...

EnvisAlarm/Monitoring Station
So the wife asked me if we could get rid of the home phone line. Our current monitoring is through that line so I'm looking at options and obviously EnvisAlarm looks to be my best bet. I asked if she'd be happy with just phone alerts but she wants the monitoring company to call us when she ...

Re: 3rd Party Local API - Beta Testers/Contributers Wanted
Just tried this, very good start. I'm able to arm/disarm and my zones update. I'm not sure the partition status is working, it always said 'armed': False for me. Is it too soon to request some new features? I see in the code the push notifications, I assume that isn't hooked up yet?

Re: 3rd Party Local API - Beta Testers/Contributers Wanted
Yeah personally I wouldn't focus too much on the proxy feature, I wouldn't trust it to do any programming ala DLS. I will give this a look in the next day or two, thanks for your efforts! Why wouldn't you trust programming this way ? - DLS does essentially the same thing through a serial port - You ...

Re: 3rd Party Local API - Beta Testers/Contributers Wanted
yeah I see your reasoning for python, my crappy router can run dd-wrt but I'm not sure it has enough memory or storage for the python package. I'm thinking something like a raspberry pi or something would be just as ideal for this so something lightweight would be beneficial to that as well. Anyway ...

Re: 3rd Party Local API - Beta Testers/Contributers Wanted
I'd be interested in taking a look. I was considering starting something similar myself (not in python mind you) your feature set pretty much captures what I wanted to do. I might be able to help with some of the web design, I'm more developer than designer myself but I've found lately using ...

Re: Installation question
Well installation was a piece of cake, my only issue was a too short network cable and a long one that unfortunately doesn't work for some reason but luckily the lights on the E3 told me that. No call from the monitoring company yet
