Re: Zone Followers
I am very disappointed in this turn of events. Is it possible we can follow at least three zones instead of one? I have three exterior doors and would like to monitor these on a consistent basis without resorting to the paid service. Ok, I think I have an answer. The admins switched to a new databas...

Re: Mounting kit for EVL 3 module
I have to mount the EVL 3 module at the end of the DSC keybus to get access to an eithernet cable. Module works fine. Do you have a mounting case for the module so that I can protect and secure the module? I thought that the DSC Panels have pre-punched mounting holes where the supplied plastic stan...

Re: How to arm away when not being at home?
I have a similar problem with a Vista 20P system. When I use the web interface to arm away, it goes into arm stay mode instead. It used to work correctly, but I'm not sure what changed. For the Vista 20P, you need to turn off the "auto stay" feature. Maybe the DSC system is the same. I ha...

Re: EVL-3 causing DSC PC1864 and keypad reboots
Can you do a test with both PK5501 disconnected and the EVL-3 connected? Does the DSC PC1864 still reboots?

Re: Activating Central Station Monitoring WHAT GIVES?
Now that your System is officially being monitored, have you done a test to see if you get a call from your Monitoring Center? I would set off the alarm and wait for at least (1.5 - 2 Minutes, depending on you outbound alarm delay to the MC) before disarming the system and see if you do get that cal...

Re: Help! New Wifi Router
Is your EnvisaLink 2DS working at this point? Do you have a Static IP Address assigned to the EnvisaLink 2DS? What is the default LAN IP Address of the New Asus WI-Fi Router? Is it 192.168.1.1 (for example)? I do not have one of these Routers, but is there such a thing as a Status Page for your Loca...

Re: New Feature Requests
This has been hashed out many times on the forum. It is much easier for a professional burglar to just cut your phone line than it would be to try something like you describe. I know there are some companies out there that offer this as a feature but I think the concensus is that this is just marke...

Re: Vista not issuing Alarm Signals
I would have him verify *50 to make sure he put in a zero, I'm thinking he trips the alarm but then puts in his code before the timer *50 times out then it would cancel the event. He should do a #50 and see what echo's back. I believe on a vista 20 "PSIA" he would enter 2 0's DeanRobinson...

Re: Vista not issuing Alarm Signals
How long did he wait before disarming the system? Depending on the setting, he should allow adequate amount of time before an Alarm signal is sent. I think 30 seconds is the default time, although his system could be set for a much longer duration. Ask him to have the alarm keep going off for a long...

Re: Fire Zone Issues
2-wire smokes do not use a Zone slot so they don't appear on the zone map. If they trip they will just issue a 24 hour Fire alarm without zone information. Thanks. It is a piece of information needed to talk to the insurance company. In my situation (2-wire smoke detector), when I order EnvisAlarms...
