Re: Alarm Relay Claims "Invalid Reports"

Alarm Relay is a customer of ours, and active user, so this has nothing to do with the Envisalink. When did they become a customer and why hasn't there been any mention of this until now. I was pushing them to start supporting the EnvisaLink 3 some months ago and they said they would look into it, ...

Re: Dialer Sending Reports? Vista 20p Setup

It will be interesting to see what the source of the "Unknown Report" is. How many partitions do you have on your VISTA 20P? What does #65 shows in programming mode? If I not mistaken: *65: Open Report Code, Default Values are: [0,0,0]; Part. 1, Part. 2, Common After EnvisaLink 3 re4lated-...

Re: Dialer Sending Reports? Vista 20p Setup

I'm using their ARIM device ( ), which technically, is using the Telephone Terminals on the VISTA 20P. I have it connected to Terminals 23 and 24. The ARIM device is just a VOIP dialer (equivalent to a POTS Line). Since it is a dedicated device, there is no need to seize the line during an al...

Re: Dialer Sending Reports? Vista 20p Setup

Eric: As far as your second question goes, the POTS dialer would be connected to terminals 21, 22, 23 and 24 (assuming RJ31X connection). This is NOT considered a second Communicator. So, as far as your setup is concerned, you will have only one Communicator...the EnvisaLink 3 (connected to the ECP ...

Re: Anything better than Pinger?

What I would suggest is that you create a new Gmail address and associated GV Account and select a new number from your area and use that as a test bed. I did this, but the system would accept my mobile number (Republic Wireless - Hybrid WiFi/Cellular calling). This is due to the fact that Republic ...

Re: Anything better than Pinger?

There is a Google Voice Email to SMS Gateway developed by a Third-Party. I'm not sure how well this works. You have to provide your GV info, so maybe you might want to setup a separate gmail/GV number for this purpose. If you do try it, please let us know how it works out. http://www.gvgateway.net/

Re: Anything better than Pinger?

There is another Pinger option, which is: country code - area code - phone number @textfree.us or username@textfree.us I'm not sure if they are using the same gateway. Maybe you can try the above to see if the reliability increases. I have used the form you mention in your post and was getting the T...

Re: Zone Activity Not changing in certain conditions Vista 2

I'm confuse about something here? When you arm your system in STAY mode, doesn't the motion sensors become inactive and in reality, cannot be tripped? I know you can setup Ademco VISTA Systems so that while armed in STAY Mode, the motion sensors are still active, but all the ADEMCO systems I have se...

Re: Zone Activity Not changing in certain conditions Vista 2

Your observations (1 & 2) coincides with my experience with the EnvisaLink 3/Ademco VISTA 20P. Number 1 is not really a big concern, since we use Keyfobs (5804BDV) 90% of the time for arming/disarming once we are outside the house. Not sure why the VISTA 20P doesn't show up on the Zone grid. Whe...
