Re: Monitoring service EYEZ-ON or 3rd party suggestions

Alarm Relay is probably one of the larger Monitoring Company in the US and they can do IP Monitoring via the EnvisaLink 3/4. You will be required to pay Alarm Relay a one-time EnvisaLink "Unlock" fix Fee of about $40-$45, in addition to the $35 initial administrative fee. http://alarmrelay...

Re: Compatibility with my Panel

Is the FirstAlert FA1660C a "Rebranded" Ademco VISTA 20P? If that is the case, the Envisalink 3 should be compatible. My only concern is: Do you have the Installer Code (IC) to enter programming or the ability to default the Panel to its default (with readily available IC)? Without it, you...

Re: Getting 8-15 even more email alerts per event on my Vist

Are you sure it is an Ademco 5881 receiver module? The Ademco 5881 receiver modules (5881ENH, 5881ENL, 5881ENM, and 5881ENHC) are Wireless RF Receivers and are not used with Keyfobs. Only the Ademco 5883H is Keyfob capable (Combination of the 5881+5800TM). By disconnecting the Ademco 5881 receiver m...

Re: Change wording for closing and opening

I'm in total agreement with the other contributors that we should distinguish Arm and Disarm from Opening and Closing of other Zones. Just a few days ago, I remotely armed (and then disarmed and armed the system again) the system during the middle of the day and my wife call me on my cell to inquire...

Re: Envisalink 3 does not recover after network failure

Interesting! I have a DD-DWRT Router (WRT54G-TM) and the EnvisaLink 3 is connected to a 8-Port Switch, which in turn is connected to the Router. My setup has experienced multiple Power failures and quickly recovered within minutes of power restoration. My Envisalink is set to a Static IP Address and...

Re: Honeywell 128/250BP...Multiple Partitions with EnvisaLin

.. .. As for zone status above 64, that will have to wait until the Envisalink4 is released next year (more memory). Any hints as to what additional features we can expect from the EnvisaLink 4 (apart from increase memory)? I notice that with the IPdatatel Bat, they have 6 conductors attached to th...

Re: EnvisaLink 3 and keypad PK5500

The experiment shows that the problem is not related to the EnvisaLink 3. When you are checking the Chime function, are you using just one specific door? Try another door/window. Maybe something (a specific zone related to that door) got disconnected during the installation of the EnvisaLink. Check ...

Re: EnvisaLink 3 and keypad PK5500

What happens if you disconnect the EnvisaLink 3 from the DSC 1616? Do the Door Chime works again? Try that experiment and report your results (I know it did work before attaching the EnvisaLink 3). How many Keypads are attached to the Panel? How many devices are attached to the bus?

Re: Vista Panel Chip level and programming

IF you do decide to replace the SafeWatch Pro 3000 Chip, I would suggest you just replace the entire motherboard, instead of the Chip or just buy a new VISTA 20P Panel for around $60.00 You will need an alphanumeric keypad to program the system once installed. You need something like a 6160/6160V or...

Re: Changing DNS Server on Envisalink 3

Do you know what the IP address is for the EnvisaLink 3 on your Local Area Network (LAN)? Simply type the IP address into your browser (for example, 192.168.1.xx or 192.168.1.xx:80) and you should be prompted for the username (user) and password (cannot remember what the default is...maybe user also...
