Re: Auto-Scheduling for Stay Arm
Just as a follow-up and in case anybody else would be interested, I ended up getting an ISY994i controller for my Insteon devices and I also re-installed an old Raspberry Pi I had. The Raspberry Pi has Linux and DSCLink installed on it (NodeLink to be tested soon). The Pi is actually mounted inside ...

Auto-Scheduling for Stay Arm
I would like to automatically Stay arm my DSC Alarm every night when I go to bed and automatically disarm it in the morning when waking up, on a regular schedule. I tested the built-in functionality of the DSC panel, but it doesn't exactly do what I want. I want the system to auto-arm in "Stay" mode ...

Python Script to arm/disarm
Hi all, This was asked before, but I'm asking again. Can anyone share some Python code to log in, interogate the Envisalink 3 and send some commands to it? I looked at http://forum.eyez-on.com/FORUM/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=544&hilit=alarmserver and it's really interesting, but I can't quite make it work ...

Re: No more Quick API - Any python TPI examples anyone can s
Any update on this? The status command is likely a bug that was introduced in the last version of the firmware since it was working fine before and nothing else has changed. I would also like to switch to a local Python script, or even Perl. A start script would be nice...

Re: No more Quick API - Any python TPI examples anyone can s
My PHP script is here. It was changed a bit, but most of it is there: http://forum.eyez-on.com/FORUM/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=628 Looking at it again, I changed some time ago to include the time of day to ensure it would not arm in the morning when I had not armed it the previous evening and attempt to ...

Re: No more Quick API - Any python TPI examples anyone can s
I have the EXACT same problem, except my script is written in PHP. It's been about 2 months I think. I'm not sure if it's the API that was changed or if it's a firmware update that was applied. It's really annoying. The API still works, but always return the status as Ready, even when armed. Why was ...

Re: Why didn't anyone make an iphone app?
Yes, of course it's possible. I'm not sure exactly why there isn't any but the fact that the website works well for most of anything probably has something to do with the fact that a separate application isn't required. With that said, you can make your own if you wish using something like ...

Re: Auto-Scheduling for Stay Arm with PHP
One of the potential problem and where this script will not really work is if you usually stay arm the alarm when you're in the house. For example, on a weekend, if you stay arm the alarm during the day, then it will disarm at 10pm. I don't usually do that, so it's not an issue for me. A time check ...

Re: EnvisaLink - extend (bridge) KEYBUS over LAN
I've never done it to that extent, but that should work. I think there is a wiring limit of about 1,000 feet for the sensors. I've used cat 5/6 patching to relocate my panel recently and it worked flawlessly.
