Re: Recommend DSC Replacement for Vista 20P

No problem. For what its worth, I have been testing out a Vista20p with the Envisalink3 and I have found some minor functionality issues that sort of bother me and may warrant me purchasing a DSC if I cant resolve. Check my post below:

Re: Recommend DSC Replacement for Vista 20P

From what I have read the DSC 1864 is a good unit and have been reviewed fine. For your small setup you could def just get a DSC 1832 and even a 1616 if you wanted to save money. Home Security Store usually is a good place to order since they provide tech support and prices are fine. http://www.home...

Re: Zone Activity Not changing in certain conditions Vista 2

Ok thanks for confirming that this is happening with your vista as well. I wonder if this is some sort of programming adjustment? But I am curious to see what any DSC'ers chime in with their experience with the above scenarios.

Zone Activity Not changing in certain conditions Vista 20p

I am seeing slightly incomplete Zone activity updating stated below: 1) I armed my vista 20p and opened the door to leave. The system arms fine in away but there is no record of that door opening on the Eyezon zone activity. It just remains saying door was closed an hour ago etc... 2) I trip a motio...

Re: Alarm in Memory - Alerts Stop (Ademco VISTA 20 P Panel)

@DaveSin- I just confirmed with my Vista that IN an alarm state the Envisalink SHOULD report multiple alarms. Ex: open the front door and I fail to disarm the vista, the alarm sounds and the envisalink will send me an alert for front door alarm, with the siren still going I will than trip a motion a...

Re: EnvisaLink 3 Concerns

@DaveSin by default *50 Burglary Dialer Delay WAS set to 2 (30 seconds), but per the Envisalink instructions I set this to 0 (no delay). I am assuming since the Evlinsalink instructions stated this setting means that this is the signal that gets sent to the envisalink per all the setup steps we did ...

Re: EnvisaLink 3 Concerns

Just wanted to add...I checked my event log and the alarm that was missed by the Envisalink had an alarm code of 134 (Entry/Exit Alarm) and was disarmed 2 minutes after the alarm initially went off. I would also add that after i disarmed (pretty sure I did this initial disarm at the keypad) I sent a...

Re: EnvisaLink 3 Concerns

Gwizard thanks again for always answering questions so thoroughly and quickly. That is very interesting that the Elink keeps a buffer of up to 128 alarms in it, and keeps trying till it is acknowleged on your side. I like that. I am not sure maybe I cancelled the alarm to quickly, but the Vista did ...

GWizard thanks for the prompt answer you are the man. This really angers me and am even considering returning the Vista for a DSC solely because of this.

Re: Envisalink 3 Web Server Settings

I hope I dont sound naieve, but since the Eyezon portal is https: doesn't that mean its secure? If not, other than stealing my alarm system codes and controlling it is there anything else that could go possibly go wrong on my network? Steal my web traffic, virus on my network etc...?
