Re: Is 2DS compatible to all DSC modules?
The Envisalink's are compatible with ALL "power" series panels from DSC regardless of firmware version. These are sometimes called hybrid panels as they support both wireless and wired sensors. The Envisalink is not compatible with the MAXSYS line of panels nor the low-end self-contained A...

Zone Follower Events now available to '2DS customers
This feature has been on the request pile for a while and now it is here. You can now opt to track an individual zone's changes in your event log. You can select any of your zones up to 64. There is a new option on your ESP main page under the zone grid called "Manage Zone Followers". From...

Re: Should I upgrade to 2DS
The only real reason for static IP is so you can port forward your router to the Envisalink module. People do this to access the local webserver on the module from the external Internet. The main reason people do that is to use third-party iPhone and Android apps for our modules. You might also want...

Re: Feature Request: Alerts for Zones
We have had to scrap server-side zone reporting due to the overwhelming amount of data that needs to be sifted through at the server. We have since moved this function to the Envisalink but the code is still not released.
So no, this feature will not be available to IP100D users. Sorry.

Re: Should I upgrade to 2DS
Well, the only two features that are different right now are the length of the zone timers (3 days vs. 1 hour), and the '2DS can be set to static IP. On the roadmap is the EnvisAlarms service for those interested in professional monitoring. It is in Beta so it should be released shortly. Also on the...

Automated Firmware Updates and Firewalls
FYI. Automated "push" firmware updates will continue for the foreseeable future so people with strict firewalls should be aware of this information. Firmware updates are requested by the EnvisAlerts server and initiated by the Envisalink 2DS' via TCP on outbound port 4022. The outbound IP ...

Re: Monitoring
Its just a matter of a week or two Bill D. All our Envisalink 2Ds customers in Canada and the U.S. will have access to our new EnvisAlarms program for professional monitoring shortly. Unfortunately we cannot offer this service to our first generation (IP100D) customers for technical reasons. Hang in...

Re: Feature Request: Alerts for Zones
Yep, this is already in alpha testing for an upcoming 2DS firmware update. We should all see this feature within the month.

Re: IP100D
Unfortunately the IP100D does not have a bootloader so it cannot be updated. But even if there were a bootloader, the device is out of code space so we couldn't put any more features into it if we wanted to. Sorry, I know its not what you wanted to hear but Eyez-On will continue to support the IP100...

Re: Web site history
Hi, Zone activity is different from system events. Your log shows "events", things like arming/disarming, alarms, low-bat alerts etc. Opening and closing of zones are not logged but show up in the zone grid as activity: "when was this zone last changed?". The customer who posted ...
