Re: ANNOUNCE: EVL4EZ Syslog Client

The original post says this is a interim release. Will this become port of the mainstream firmware in the future?

Looks like I'm still running .102 as of July 30th.

Ring Keypad Chime Programmatically from EVL-4 (DSC)

I'd like the ability to ring the keypad chime programmatically from the EVL-4 on a DSC system.

Example use case: Ring the keypad chime if an exterior door is open for more than 5 minutes.

(I'm expecting an answer that this isn't possible with DSC, but maybe I'll be pleasantly surprised.)

Envisalink Firmware Change log?

Is there a change log for the Envisalink firmware? I noticed my EVL-4 recently got firmware 01.00.95, (possibly today Aug 15, 2016, since I saw a disconnect, possible reboot? Last I checked it was running 1.00.86. So what changed in the firmware? Is there anyway to check the EVL's uptime to find out ...

Re: Envisalink - TPI Documentation

Envisakit should be sticky and should be the core of all honeywell development: https://github.com/mklips0/envisakit Seems like this was probably the wrong topic. (There is another topic for Ademco, but this isn't really about documentation.) I think it would be helpful if there was a (sticky) topi...

Re: Programmatically get all DSC event log types?

Sure, we'd added new TPI commands many times in the past based on user demand. If there is a command that you think would have universal benefit, and can be reasonably accomodated, then we can add it to an upcoming revision. Just PM me with your suggestion. K Ok, great. I will send you a list of th...

Re: Programmatically get all DSC event log messages?

K-Man wrote: No, the TPI is it. You will find that it has many more features than DSC's version, like the verbose troubles you mention.
Ok, but there are events that generate no TPI code. These are events the Envisalink sees, so it isn't a panel issue, what I can I do?

Is there an RFE process?

Re: Programmatically get all DSC event log messages?

Sorry, I've used a title that was misleading. I'm not trying to enumerate all the messsages. I just want to receive what ever I can. Let me try the question again: How can I receive notification of events that aren't generating TPI codes? There are some events that don't generate TPI codes. However ...

Re: Programmatically get all DSC event log types?

@rct 1) The Envisalerts "events" are generated from a variety of sources: some of which come from the panel itself, some are generated by the Envisalink, and some generated by the servers. So the answer is no, there is no way to find out what all of the messages are. The TPI lists all sup...

Re: Programmatically get all DSC event log types?

Anyone able to answer the two questions in this thread?
  • How do I programmatically get access to the events that don't have TPI codes, but are sent to the envisalerts service, for example *1, *5, *6 access?
  • There doesn't appear to be a TPI code for FTC restore. Is that correct?
Thanks,

EVL-4 TPI timestamps drifting badly

I've turned on the EVL TPI timestamps, and enabled time broadcasts from the panel. I noticed that the EVL's TPI timestamps are drifting badly. Typically the minute is right but the seconds vary considerably. There appears to be a periodic correction every 2-3 hours. The drift seems to be a little ov...
