What about Fire Zones type 09? Are they supposed to turn red and then fade if tripped? Or are they different?

I notice the same thing. I just installed the wireless EC-FF345 FireFighter™ Smoke Detector Sensor-Transmitter on a Vista 20P system. It is working fine but the zone never turns red.

Looking in older posts, I see that GSM backup add-on to the EVL-4 was mentioned.

Is that still something that is coming? If so I will wait for that.

Just finally got it all installed today so I will probably ask a few more questions as I get used to this.

Does entering user names and zone labels on the eyez-on portal device manager push/write changes to the panel? Or is it just for the sake of the portal?

OK thank you. I will look to that as an upgrade project for later.

What does one external communicator mean? That just one could hook to central station monitoring?

Will the second one still be able to send Envisalink texts and emails?
