Re: Will this Work: Honeywell 5816 Wireless Sensors with the EnvisaLink 4
I have an EVL4 in an Ademco/Honeywell Vista 20P panel, using a Honeywell 6162rf keypad. Nearly all of my zones are wired, but, I do have a Ademco/Honeywell 5800PIR-COM wireless motion sensor and a Honeywell 5822T wireless Garage Tilt Sensor. Everything works like a champ. And, yes: The wireless zone...

Re: Offline after changing routers
There are many things that could be the problem. My first guess would be the EVL module is not getting one-or-more of IP address, default gateway or DNS server config from whatever's now serving DHCP for your LAN. (That assumes you did not have the EVL configured statically, in the first place. See ...

Re: Mobile data connectivity with private IP rage.
Eventually your mobile connection must NAT to a routable address. RFC1918 addresses are not routable. ("Routable," in this context, means that ISPs, etc. will route it, not that it literally cannot be routed.) So the address your provider says they're assigning you is simply the private (L...

Re: CO Detector intermittent trouble
If your CO detector appears to be arbitrarily firing, esp. at o'dark thirty in the morning, how should you go about diagnosing the problem, then?Jonathan wrote: It happens.. but please don't ever suggest to anyone to go out and buy a new CO detector to verify a CO alarm, you could get someone killed!!

Re: CO Detector intermittent trouble
The OP stated the CO detector is going into trouble at random times, not into alarm . ... A trouble condition means there is a problem with the detector, the tamper switch has activated, or the CO detector is out of wireless range. It does not mean CO is present in the house. Ah. Good eye. My bad. ...

Re: Physical Installation of EnvisaLink 4 onto Vista 20p Panel
I don't much trust adhesive "anchors," so I rounded-up some nylon stand-offs, matching screws, etc., and did this: https://www.linxnet.com/misc/images/alarm_panel-20160820-420x510.jpg (That's before the job was complete. Yeah, I like BIG service loops :).) The board on the right is a zone ...

Re: EnvisAlarm: New Install: Walk Test Recommended?
Kind of off-topic, but... I was not comfortable with IP monitoring as sole communicator because reliability and loss of power would kill IP. My cable Internet connection has, so far, been at least as reliable as our mobile phones or landline. As for loss of power: That's what UPS' are for. Wondering...

Re: CO Detector intermittent trouble
So I keep getting a trouble on my "Basement wireless CO detector" around 3am, sometimes 4am and then it restores a minute later. It seems to be completely unpredictable. Never happens during the day. First thing I'd do is buy a quality CO detector, place it right next to the system-connec...

Re: EnvisaLink 4, can you add on cellular/phone backup notification?
Afternoon all... I have the EnvisaLink with IP Monitoring, I have a Vista 20p Panel and want to add a cellular backup incase the IP/Internet goes down. Anyone know if this is possible? Thanks! Not certain what you mean by "with IP Monitoring." Do you mean you've subscribed to EnvisAlarm, ...
