Re: Envisalink reporting all BUT alarms and no commands from web
I have to laugh, because I made nearly every one of the mistakes GW mentioned, and a couple others, for good measure :) PSA: If your system is up & running, and you have the EnvisAlarm service, opening up a wireless device (that you've already configured into the system) so you can install it wi...

Re: Ethernet to Wifi Adapter
I've never used one of those. I have used one of these: ASUS WL-330N 5-in-1 Wireless-N150 Mobile Router , but, not with an EVL4. What I did use, with my EVL-4, for a short while, was a NetGear WNHDE111 5 GHz Wireless-N HD Access Point/Bridge. I've got one of those I use for some of my home theatre g...

You don't want to be awakened if somebody sets off the alarm, breaking in at night, or if your fire/smoke goes off?cheeseguy wrote:I removed the siren so I wouldn't wake up everyone during my late-night tinkering. I don't see much purpose for it, honestly.

Re: Trouble getting wires to stay connected
I took some pictures of three examples of these terminals I had on-hand. This first is from some I probably got back in the mid-70's, when I was first introduced to this type of terminal in the Netherlands. You can clearly see the tabs, as they actually wrap up over the top of the ends of the barrel...

Re: Trouble getting wires to stay connected
If you look into the ends of the terminals, where the bare wire goes in, you'll see that they're a barrel-shaped, screw-driven clamping terminal. The screws need to be backed-out far enough for the wires to slip in, then you tighten the screws down firmly. Some of those connector types have a tab un...

Re: EnvisaLink 4 Vista 20P wiring order
Yes, the order of the colours is different between the EVL4 and the 20P. Think of it this way: Connect the colours in the order specified to the EVL4, then in the order specified to the 20P.

Personally, I'd prefer a mobile app because I don't trust browsers any further than I can spit.

Re: Envisalink for DSC Neo ?
Really disappointed to hear no support for DSC NEO, a popular and attractive new series for DSC. Here's hoping that growing demand will lead to future support. Perhaps you missed this comment? DSC is not allowing third-party products to interface with that line of products. Not much EyezOn can do i...

Re: Entry Zones Not Reporting On Alarm
Update & closure EyezOn Support is as fast as their servers. Submitted the support ticket at 7:30 p.m. Received a response 20 minutes later. On a Friday night, no less. Problem: User error. I was not leaving the panel armed long enough after the exit delay expired, so the entry alarms were regis...

Will do, GW. Thanks for the prompt follow-up.
Done. Essentially cut-n-paste of my OP, with minor edits to clarify/correct a couple of details.
