Re: How to setup email (or SMS) alerts
From the help page... To make the system send a text message use the SMS email format in the e-mail field of the contact. For example with Canadian carriers it goes as follows: Bell Canada: [10-digit-phone-number]@txt.bellmobility.ca ... Rogers: [10-digit- phone-number]@pcs.rogers.com. ... Telus:10d...

Re: I can't get local access
What's your firmware version? Anyone with version 1.0.17 might have the "envisalink" vs "envisalinke" bug. A batch of old units with version x17 firmware had their name incorrectly listed as "envisalinke". This was fixed in all subsequent versions. If you've properly re...

Re: Automated Firmware Updates and Firewalls
Firmware updates use TCP, not UDP. I can't imagine we'll change the ports but the destination IPs will certainly change in the future for load balancing reasons. Considering the growth in customers, that is a given.

Re: Changing Port on 2DS moduel
The local ports on the '2DS are 80 and 8080. You can easily change them to whatever you want, externally, through your router. You just port-forward XX port to port 80 on your '2DS where XX is any arbitrary port.

Re: ENVISALINK IP170D NO LONGER WORKING
The "EnivsAlarm Server OFFLINE" message means, like everyone else, that your EnvisAlarms service is not enabled. We hope to offer this premium monitoring service shortly.
If under "EnvisAlerts" it shows ONLINE, then your unit is working correctly.

Re: SMS Messages
I have heard that due to twitter notification overuse Rogers is using some opt-in strategies to lower the SMS messages on their network.
Unfortunately we cannot offer native SMS notifications and keep our low price (free). We would be charged per message so we would have to pass that along.

Re: Is 2DS compatible to all DSC modules?
No, this is an Impassa system. They are not expandable and are meant for the pro-market "lick and stick" installs. If you're buying this yourself then get good system like this from Home Security Store http://www.homesecuritystore.com/p-1734-ultimate-power5-kit32-power5-dsc-power-1832-ulti...

Re: Partition:BUSY label
Hi, the partition label "BUSY" means that another keypad has the attention of the panel. For example, if you go into user code programming (*5), the partition will show as busy. Also, if you left the system in installer's mode, the partition will also show busy (and will never time out BTW...
