Re: In a Desperate need of my EVL3 Zone Logs and HELP!

And there's a few other more friendly apps that can log - mine (the DscServer on android) for example will write a persistent log to a google Drive spreadsheet, google lets you archive them forever for free and they don't count against your free limit (at least they currently do not). As was mention...

Re: EVL3 Reporting Keybus Lockout

One more possibility for the poll time-out - maybe it's this problem: http://forum.eyez-on.com/FORUM/viewtopi ... 45d5eaacb1?

Re: EVL3 Reporting Keybus Lockout

I believe he was able to sort it (it's a DSC panel thing if the wrong PIN is used too many times), and he's up and running now. The timeout thing is a network problem - the DscServer retries a number of times and something in the network stack is preventing the poll requests or responses from being ...

Re: Zone timer dump from Envisa Link 4

I might be misunderstanding... but I think we're not really sync'd here. The Led status update was a suggestion for K-Man, not for us as API users. We should continue to send polls as before. I believe the "milliseconds after you connect" is explained by K-Man's algorithm. In the original ...

Re: Zone timer dump from Envisa Link 4

Sorry, was a bit terse 'cause I didn't think my comments were very important (or were going to change anything). I was just noting that zonetimerdump seemed like an odd choice - it's supposed to be solicited, it's big, so a bit of a clunky solution. And that the envisalink sending a poll wouldn't wo...

Re: Zone timer dump from Envisa Link 4

A poll is always from the client and while a poll response might work, it, like the timer dump, feels more like it should only be sent in response rather than unsolicited. I would have been tempted to use something a little less heavy like an LED status update, but what it's doing does make sense. I...

Re: Home Assistant and Envisalink 3

I imagine you've already sorted it, but the DscServer does support multiple connections so you can point HA to the DscServer and run as many clients as you'd like.

Re: Zone timer dump from Envisa Link 4

Could well be a bug or even a hardware fault. Perhaps if you have a network packet capture that shows it's on the envisalink side K-man will jump in. Without that it's hard to tell where the fault lies. If the envisalink considers a client still connected it won't close the connection until it times...

Re: Zone timer dump from Envisa Link 4

Are you asking about the zone timer dump or about the unsolicited disconnect? A network interruption can stop the poll messages and the envisalink will disconnect. The zone timer dump should only be in response to a request which would have me looking for an application error. There's not enough inf...

Re: Zone timer dump from Envisa Link 4

It does what the API says reporting the time since each zone was restored. It doesn't report any errors so it's not indicating a fault. Decoding it is exactly as specified in the spec. I don't believe it's ever sent unsolicited, at least not that I've noticed.
