Re: Amazon Alexa Envisalink Skill Information

Are there any plans to allow the "Alarm Device" to be used in Alexa Routines. Currently the EVL Device is not available for selection when creating a new routine. Obvious benefits would be geofence arming, controlling lights, turning on otherdevices, etc... Thanks, You can't trigger off o...

Re: Amazon Alexa Envisalink Skill Information

This is not a big change. Just two lines in json file. But anyway.. Never tried to say like "Alexa Arm Away", will try. But in generally speaking it could be a parameter in settings which defines the preferable arming mode. Why not? The list of acceptable utterances are right at the top o...

Yes, we are working on it. Google's developer portal for Google Home was down for almost a month so we are delayed.

Re: Honeywell Vista 20P and Time Changes?

All UL approved panels must use line-frequency for their time synchronization. So in the North East power pool, at least, that means the clocks are extremely accurate on a daily basis. Only during power outages do the clocks rely on the their onboard quartz crystals.

Re: Offline NTP time sync

No, the EVL4 is pretty much out of code space. All new features will have to be cloud-based.

If you are using a DSC panel the time comes from the local panel anyow, not from the network.

Re: Amazon Alexa Envisalink Skill Information

I got it working. We just moved into this house in August, so it's been a bit of a guessing game with the alarm setup, but as far as I know, this house has only one partition. However, the quick arm programming was set to 1 2. I changed it to 1 1 and now it works. Oh well. Thanks for your help. Wou...

Re: Amazon Alexa Envisalink Skill Information

I had a similar issue with an app, that would not work in Canada, for some reason the vendor needed to have it bilingual for it to work in Canada.. may be this is the case with this app ? No, Amazon just released the skill in December and only in the US. It will be rolled-out to the other regions b...

Re: Amazon Alexa Envisalink Skill Information

You can't do any of those things with the Alexa skill as Amazon defines how a security system works and bypassing, PGMs, and everything else I think would be standard isn't included. I am still also peeved that only US customers can use it, that just seems stupid. Somebody asked about *9 on DSC, I t...

No, but he changed the wakeup word from Alexa to Sharon which I'm guessing is either his mom or his girlfriend.
