Re: Should I upgrade to 2DS
Well, the only two features that are different right now are the length of the zone timers (3 days vs. 1 hour), and the '2DS can be set to static IP. On the roadmap is the EnvisAlarms service for those interested in professional monitoring. It is in Beta so it should be released shortly. Also on the...

Automated Firmware Updates and Firewalls
FYI. Automated "push" firmware updates will continue for the foreseeable future so people with strict firewalls should be aware of this information. Firmware updates are requested by the EnvisAlerts server and initiated by the Envisalink 2DS' via TCP on outbound port 4022. The outbound IP ...

Re: Monitoring
Its just a matter of a week or two Bill D. All our Envisalink 2Ds customers in Canada and the U.S. will have access to our new EnvisAlarms program for professional monitoring shortly. Unfortunately we cannot offer this service to our first generation (IP100D) customers for technical reasons. Hang in...

Re: Feature Request: Alerts for Zones
Yep, this is already in alpha testing for an upcoming 2DS firmware update. We should all see this feature within the month.

Re: IP100D
Unfortunately the IP100D does not have a bootloader so it cannot be updated. But even if there were a bootloader, the device is out of code space so we couldn't put any more features into it if we wanted to. Sorry, I know its not what you wanted to hear but Eyez-On will continue to support the IP100...

Re: Web site history
Hi, Zone activity is different from system events. Your log shows "events", things like arming/disarming, alarms, low-bat alerts etc. Opening and closing of zones are not logged but show up in the zone grid as activity: "when was this zone last changed?". The customer who posted ...

Re: How can i make static ip on 2DS?
Yes, many users were upgraded to 1.03.32 which includes the new static IP feature. This is an interim (sort of beta) release as there was one feature left off by accident that we wanted to get out. There may be another release as early as Sunday night.

Re: New Feature Requests
RE: BPSMicro First off, Welcome to the forum and I'm glad you're enjoying your Envisalink. I'll reference your questions by number. 1) We're going to open a "virtual keypad" entry on the portal soon so you can do what you're asking shortly. We have had so many feature requests that we're g...

Re: Thermostat - Maxsys
Our equipment partner, Envisacor, still has the thermostat add-on for the Envisalink 2DS in development so I doubt we'll see anything before year-end. There has been some problems securing affordable thermostats that are compatible. As for Maxsys, there are no plans to support Maxsys panels. Didn't ...

Re: Can the Port be changed?
Pretty much every router I've used in QA has had the option to port-forward with different ports for external, and internal. That is, you can forward "external_ip:8076" to "internal_ip:8080". I know linksys (cisco), d-link, belkin have this feature for sure. I can add it to the f...
