Re: Ability to monitor raw wireless sensor data from 5881
The guys from envisacor can probably shed more light on this but AFAIK its a master slave bus, yes all the various device data could be sniffed at any point on the bus, but my guess is since the module impersonates a keypad its not going to just sniff all that other info out there when the panel pol...

Re: Ability to monitor raw wireless sensor data from 5881
The things on the bus don't talk to each other they only talk to the panel, really they are not even directly aware of each other except as they fight bus contention.
So you still need the panel to talk to all the slave devices and keep the system state.

Keep in mind the monitoring company and the web portal are 2 different things, one doesn't necessarily come with the other.

Re: 3rd Party Local API - Beta Testers/Contributers Wanted
Can one of you please clarify why the aversion to ssl certificates ? You can have your own CA up and running in a matter of a few minutes and the certificates are perfectly valid. Things like webmin even build their own for you. Keep in mind with certificates there are two reasons to have them, encr...

Re: SMS to WindMobile
On Bell (and the resellers like virgin, etc), you just get the message as an sms, and it either counts towards your incoming limit or is free depending on the plan, you don't have to sign up for anything.

Re: EnvisaLink 3 and Alarm Relay
Do you have any figures on the installed base of the module and how that breaks down between dsc and other panel vendors ?
Am I correct in understanding all the firmware versions support tpi as well as whatever central station protocol they are also shipped with ?

Re: EnvisaLink 3 and Alarm Relay
If anyone wants to read it search the name and around the 3rd page of hits you'll find it. Leaves more questions than answers though. Its obvious things like resetting the webserver password which you can do from the portal are not part of the standard so there are extensions to it. It would be nice...

Re: EnvisaLink 3 and Alarm Relay
That also begs the question of if its using a "standard" protocol, what is it ? How would I even go about asking another company if they support it if they have never heard of the module but support ip monitoring ? The Standard protocol they use IIRC is SIA DC-09: https://siamembers.siaon...

Re: EnvisaLink 3 and Alarm Relay
Good question, I read what he said as well and was wondering, and then got distracted and forget to ask about it. It would make a lot more sense from my point of view to design proxies and middleware around that interface than the tpi, since it should be the same for any standardized ip reporting sy...
