Re: AlarmServer & SmartThings. Any tutorial/walk through available?

If you've got ST already that's the best route to additional automation (hopefully someone will provide a tutorial for connecting it, unfortunately I've never tried myself). If using my app there's a few options for automation - Tasker, Automagic, or my personal preference :) is another of my apps: ...

Re: AlarmServer & SmartThings. Any tutorial/walk through available?

My apologies for what seems to be an unapologetic** promotion of my app, but for folks that don't already have smart things and an rPi there's another route to get voice support for a lot less of an investment. My app https://sites.google.com/site/mppsuite/android-apps/dscserver ($8.99) runs on a lo...

Re: How do I turn off access to Eyez-on server?

You'll probably need to deny it access to the internet using your router firewall.

Re: Wink Hub/App Integration

The problem is that every solution requires another server running locally, with ports forwarded, to work. So I have to run my own server to talk to the web server in the envisalink to talk to a crappy app made by who knows that I have on my phone? Wink IS another server running locally. It makes o...

Re: IFTTT Integration for Automation

Fandroids (or anyone that has any old low end android device, < $10 from walmart) can do similar using the DscServer (DSC Panels only) including custom emails, IFTTT automation, and alexa or google home voice control. https://sites.google.com/site/mppsuite/ ... rver/voice

Re: EVl4 and Multiple TPI Connections?

Yep, it'll run on an rPi as well, and yes, that's how you'd hook it up - DscServer to envisalink, multiple clients to the DscServer that will look like an envisalink TPI connection - it stays live/active too. Any additional delay should be negligible, probably not detectable by humans.

Re: EVl4 and Multiple TPI Connections?

For anyone that doesn't want to wait a suitable android device (prepaid, no need to activate it) is < $10 from walmart or bestbuy. Or any old android device you have lying around or can find on ebay, android 2.3 or better. It'll also run on a pc or mac if it's on all of the time, and the fanout feat...

Re: add IFTTT protocol?

You can do outgoing (from your home to IFTTT via the Maker channel) with most home automation aftermarket apps using the envisalink TPI, my https://sites.google.com/site/mppsuite/android-apps/dscserver is one example. Last time I checked IFTTT does not support self signed SSL certificates so you sho...

Re: Envisalink 2DS and Android Phone App?

I've had quite a few requests for this so I thought I'd mention it here for anyone that was waiting for it. I've just finished Google Home integration for the (paid) DscServer app (on google play). You run this app as a server on a low end android phone/tablet, about $20 from walmart/bestbuy, etc if...

Re: Amazon Echo / Alexa Skills Status?

I've just finished Google Home integration for my DscServer app (on google play). You might find the setup a little easier (you run the app as a server on a low end android phone/tablet, about $20 from walmart/bestbuy, etc if you don't have an old one lying around). Amazon Alexa should be along soon...
