I created a mobile portal link for my device. I was sent the mobile URL.
Is there any way for the system to prompt me for a username and password when I access that mobile portal link? I understand that the link has a hash code (from what I could see in the URL), but anyone who gets that link will have carte-blanche access to my alarm and events.
Is this in place of an actual Android / Iphone app?
Thanks in advance.

Sure. Don't bookmark the link. Just bookmark this instead.

it will prompt you to log-in instead.

I have tried that, but I keep getting prompted to login and enter my password.

Re: Mobile Portal Link Password
You have to have created a mobile link once though to do that.
If you have mobile link disabled it will not allow you to even log in from there.

Thanks. I was not aware of that.
BTW, for future updates, I believe it will be more secure if an app is created that will encapsulate the log in information, especially for those who connect via unsecured WIFI connections.
Anyone with a packet sniffer will be able to obtain the URL and can potentially gain access to the account.

We are planning on launching apps soon, but I think your fear about a sniffer on an unsecured network is unwarranted. That's what SSL encryption is for (i.e. the link is https:// )
