Hello,
I have an alarm system that has labels for all zones (ex Front Door).
On my envisalink, however it only shows "Zone 1" without the nice labels.
Is there any way to know what which zone is without going through opening all the doors and writing things down on a piece of paper?
I was playing with the Keypad, and found a way to change the name of a zone, but unfortunately it does not tell me what the current name is.
There must be a way to read back the zone names, right?
DSC. How to read Zone Names from Keypad?

You must have a DSC keypad that supports the text labels. The basic keypads do not.

Post the model of the keypad and panel. One of two things are happening - either you don't have a keypad that allows for zone names to be entered, or the installer never did it.
In the latter case, you will either need to find the paperwork associated with the system (we used to write it in the owners manual) or yup open each and every widow, door and motion sensor to figure it out. But I'd look for the owners manual, or inside the alarm panel door before doing that.
