Hello,
I just bought:
- Envisalink 4
- Raspberry pi
- SmartThings hub 2.0
I'd love to integrate them all together. I read AlarmServer would do a great job but after looking for a few hours cannot find a tutorial for it.
Has anyone done something similar? What were the steps?
The closest I found was a forum post with user troubleshooting, but after reading a few hundred answers I am still confused as to where to start

Thank you

Did you ever figure this out? If so, how hard was it and do you have any advice for a someone sitting where you were a month ago? I'd also be interested in hearing from any others who have done this.
Re: AlarmServer & SmartThings. Any tutorial/walk through available?
My apologies for what seems to be an unapologetic** promotion of my app, but for folks that don't already have smart things and an rPi there's another route to get voice support for a lot less of an investment. My app https://sites.google.com/site/mppsuite/ ... /dscserver ($8.99) runs on a low end android device (usually < $10 from walmart) including web access from an iphone. It can be integrated via IFTTT with Google Home and/or Alexa for voice support and many other services: https://sites.google.com/site/mppsuite/ ... rver/voice for step by step instructions.
In this implementation security is provided by google using your own google account rather than by me, samsung (for ST), or any other cloud provider.
Just don't enable "Alexa, unlock the security system" if you have an echo device near the a door or window!
(Sorry for the fee, but it is relatively low. The small revenue helps pay for support and new features.)
**I expect this is ok 'cause it does require an envisalink and does not compete with eyezon, and you can run both without issue.

Thanks, Mike. That looks interesting but unless I am mistaken it doesn't report zone statuses etc to a controller so you can create home automation triggers etc. I'd be very curious to anyone who has done the AlarmServer set up.
Re: AlarmServer & SmartThings. Any tutorial/walk through available?
If you've got ST already that's the best route to additional automation (hopefully someone will provide a tutorial for connecting it, unfortunately I've never tried myself).
If using my app there's a few options for automation - Tasker, Automagic, or my personal preference is another of my apps: AutomationManager (https://sites.google.com/site/mppsuite/faq/wemomanager. When paired with the DscServer, your partitions, zones, and status LEDs are available as sensors in AutomationManager which can trigger a host of actions including DSC commands, IFTTT, various automated light switches, http calls, etc: https://sites.google.com/site/mppsuite/ ... /wemorules.
