Where do I connect black and red on DSC 1550?

Post by dscheste »

Hello,
I have DSC 1550 and panel only has yellow and green terminals, but I cannot see black and red, do I connect those wires from Envisalink to the AUX red and black on the pic below?

Also, which particular model should I chose when activating for this panel? I bought EVL-4EZ.
When I hook up wires to AUX red and black, green on KEYB is flashing, indicating panel is not connected or wrong type selected, but panel is live...

Thank you.

Hi,

The RED is the AUX+ and the BLACK is the AUX-.
The EVL-4 is not compatible with PC1550.

@gedeferenc - thank you.

Can the keypad from my 1550 be used with any power series board, so I can only change the panel and keep the keypad?

I am thinking to get 1555 to work with Envisalink....

No, that is a "Classic" system and none of the devices are compatible with the "Power" series. Plus the Classic keypads are capital "U" ugly. Would you really want that on your wall?

@dscheste

You need to change everything panel, keypad, end of line resistors.
EVL4 module can you used with these new panels: PC1616, PC1832, PC1864
