Installing a EnvisaLink 4 on Honeywell 20p, Any suggestions for central station in CT or NY/NJ area that works well with this set up.
Re: Central Station
EnvisAlarms is the way to go. Great price and great service. http://www.eyezon.com/?page_id=246
Re: Central Station
Thanks the page is a bit confusing (see below)
Does their service include the UL central station
Montitoring or just transmitting to a central station
“At EyezOn when your alarm is triggered, the alarm signal will be transmitted to a UL or ULC Listed Monitoring Station.
Upon receiving the alarm signal, the trained alarm operators will immediately initiate our comprehensive protection process.”

Re: Central Station
Well, they are both the same thing really. Depending on which state or province you live in, we have partner central stations that handle all the alarms signals generated by your panel.
Re: Central Station
I use the Envisalarm and my Central Station is Home Security Monitoring Center in Stowe, VT (based on the phone number that calls me for alarms).
While having local monitoring does have some advantages, there is something to be said for geographical diversity. I would actually prefer to have a CS a bit further away from me, but apparently HSMC does have some redundancy.
Envisalarm used to have a couple of different vendors - I was switched about a year ago.

Re: Central Station
All ULc listed stations have multiple levels of redundancy. Even if the whole station blew up one of their stand-by partners would cut-over within an hour.
