I think I read someplace that the 4 version will support up to 4 connections while the 3 version would only support 1. I do know that when I tried a second connection to the 3 version (via software) that the results were "undefined" (sometimes the existing 1st connection would drop, sometimes the 2nd just wouldn't connect).
In any event I do have a need for 2+ connections. Looking at the product sheet for the 4 version it doesn't mention the increase in connections as a "new" feature. Am I correct in my recollection?

No, there is very little difference between the EVL3 and EVL4 in terms of the TPI. Both only allow a single client connection.
