Envisalink 4 with wrong time

Post by qckaeb »

Hi,

I have a problem with the keypad on my DCS alarm to show the correct time. When logging in on the Envisalink the time is also not correct, it is the same as on the keypad. On the Eyezon portal it is correct, and I have setup the right timezone, what else do I have to do to get the Envisalink board to show the correct time?

I can set the time on the keypad, put it immediatly starts drifting, and now a week later the time is on day, 3 h and 8 seconds behind.

You didn't set the timezone for the module. See the first posting on the forum, link provided below.

Submit a tech support request and we can look into it for you

Hi
Have you figured this out?
Do you have problem with 50/60hz on your DSC panel?
I installed a DSC in Europe bought in US and had to change this.

Just to close the loop. This customer came in to tech support with this issue and indeed it was that matter that the panel was programmed to 60Hz operation (section 701) when the customer lived in a 50Hz country (90% of the world).

The panel is programmed to keep time via the mains' frequency so if you have it programmed wrong, your click will drift quite quickly.

It's the first setting in section 701.
Do you program with DLS software or by keypad?

In the meantime I found it. :) I have keypad:

*8 PIN 701 1

I can confirm that the wrong date was because the default is the 60hz mode and I live in 50hz country. Now the time is correct.
