EnvisaLink 4 for DSC installation issues

After registering and installing the EVL4 card the only LED lights that light are the OPER, KEYB and the LINK, the LINK flashes at times. I verified that the EVL4 card registered on the Security system, I verified the cabling and even powered down the system removed the EVL4 card, powered up the system verified that the card was not registered on the security system, powered down the Security system again reinstalled the EVL4 card again, left the ethernet cable unplugged (for about 30 minutes) verified tat the card registered on the alarm system. at this point had the OPER and KEYB lights After plugging the ethernet cable back in got the LINK light but no others, I logged into my router and the card did have an assigned IP address but I could not log into the ELV4 card like the trouble shooting guide said I could. At this point when I view my account it says "Your Device Is Not Communicating With Our Servers" and the NET and ONLINE LED's are not lighted. any ideas?

No NET LED means the Envisalink does not have an IP from the router. Make sure you are connected directly to the router.

Went home and changed the ethernet cable for a second time and now the system is working, who would think that 2 ethernet cables would be bad, thanks for the input
