Envisalink 4 - Honeywell Documentation

Post by GrandWizard »

There seems to be many versions of this document floating around so I will keep the most recent one that we use in tech-support here.

This refers to the Envisalink 4 but the Honeywell programming applies to the Envisalink 3 as well.

You may need to access the Envisalink locally so you will need to find the IP address of module. The "Accessing the Envisalink" application note will help with that.

Of the various Envisalink installation instructions for Honeywell systems, this is the most comprehensive one I have seen - thanks. Perhaps it could be linked to here from the one that is referenced in the printed instructions that comes in the box (https://www.eyez-on.com/EZMAIN/evl4honeywell.php).

It helped me solve my installation issue with the Vista 20P. I had the keypad set up and reporting events, but I wasn't able to submit any commands, neither locally (via the web interface or TPI) nor remotely (via the Eyez-On site).

Turns out that there was a keypad conflict, though the Envisalink didn't report this. I have only two keypads, but they are at addresses 17 and 18 (instead of the usual 16 and 17). After some further investigation, I figured out the reason for this - since the previous owner had installed an expansion module, it was already occupying address 16.

The crucial diagnostic step was identifying the existing keypad addresses already in use by pressing 1 and 3 simultaneously on each keypad - and this was only mentioned in the PDF instructions.

I have asked the webmaster to change the link to point to the most up-to-date documentation. Thanks for pointing this out.

My system is currently monitored by a monitoring company via GSM. I only have one zone and one keypad plus wireless panic button. I under stand that I need to enable IP shadowing. What about "Honeywell Vista Panel Programming Options" part? Do I have to do this part?

Some of the programming may already be done by your alarm company but you won't know until you go into programming and check the sections which takes exactly the same amount of time as doing the programming in the first place. So the short answer is yes, you do.

Thanks for the quick replay. If I go through the programming and change the reporting code, how I do know it will be the same as the ones used by the monitoring company? Are those standard or it different from provide to provider? I just don't want to mess up the original programming and accidentally send report to my monitoring company.

Good afternoon all, my apologies if I'm in the wrong area.
I'm a new user just installed the EVL4 module to my honeywell vista 10SE. all lights are green but I'm getting a keypad address programming not completed error and a *29 error. The IP address 192.168.0.135 is not loading. I try disconnecting everything from the network, still not working. Need help accessing the local page. Thanks
