Dumb question... Does the EyezOn Android app stay active all the time? Otherwise, how can it receive alerts?

Both iPhone and Android use background notification services that are independent of the app. So no, the app does not have to be running for you to receive notifcations.

And I'd like to take this opportunity to congratulate Eyez-On's developers on the iOS version of that app. Works like a champ!
