SOLO Peripherals

Post by jambly »

Curious as to peripherals that are tested or supported with SOLO, and possible workarounds that might have been tried.

1. Solo Fire Detection.
I understand that at this point (July 2020) there is no fire detector peripheral support.
Wondering if there is a workaround such as using the Solo sound detection in combination with a stand-alone fire detector to be able to offer rudimentary security fire detection capabilities.

2. Solo Camera support.
Same type of question, is it supported and if so is there a tested example or a list of specific supported or tested cameras?
I see that the eyezon portal has a camera option, would it be the same camera's that are supported and tested for Envisalink?
If so, which cameras specifically?

3. Solo External Siren. Same type of question, are they supported and if so is there a list of supported/tested external siren sounders?

Thanks in advance for any direction on the above.

1. We've been told by the manufacturer that the SOLO's smoke detector, of which I have 2 in my home, is delayed due to approvals issues. We are looking oursevles for another temporary option including using a thrid-party wireless smoke detector.

2. Camera support for the Envisalink SOLO is the same for all Envisalinks. Basically just the FOSCAM cameras for live-view only.

3. The external siren, of which I have 2 in my home, in currently in manufacturing. It should be available in September. You can have up to 4 of them on a single base station.

Can you please provide a link as to where you bought your external siren for your SOLO System? Thank you.

Not for Eyezon. I think Connect2Go dealers have access to something now.

Any update on fire/smoke detection options yet for the SOLO systems?

I am about to move to a new home (July 2021) and I am weighing the options between bringing some of the accessories for my Ademco 20p including my Envisalink card and buying a new Ademco system or a completely different brand. I like the idea of the easy setup SOLO system but fire monitoring is a must have since we will be in a rural area where time is key.

Yes the Smoke detector and Siren are coming. The global chip shortage has hit every industry, including ours.

Hopefully this summer. I'd sell you the one I have if I could.
