Compatibility with Alula BAT-Connect

Hi,

I have a DSC panel with an EVL4 connected which has been working perfectly for the last few years. I had an Alula BAT-Connect module installed today (to serve as the main cellular connection instead of going over a telephone line). The system is monitored and the technician who installed the module disconnected my EVL4 since "it isn't compatible".

I haven't found any information online mentioning this incompatibility so I'm not sure what to make of this. The company does charge a bit extra to have access to an app + a web portal to view the events so i'm not sure if that's the main reason.

No, that is not true at all. They are just trying to scare you.

Are you aware that the Envisalink supports professional IP monitoring for $8.99/month? You can add cellular backup for an extra $4/month.

@GrandWizard thank you for the quick reply. I just reinstalled it and everything is working perfectly.

I wasn't aware of the cellular backup option for Envisalink to be honest (I got my EVL4 a few years back so I didn't think of checking to see if new modules were available but I'll be sure to get it next time).
