Yes, it is the same TPI as the Envisalink 4, we have been using it for long-term testing. It will also support 2 simultaneous connections which is nice.bernard wrote:Hi GrandWizard, I noticed elsewhere on the forum that the Uno doesn't have a TPI interface so does the Duo have one? Thanks

Re: New Feature Requests
@GrandWizard
Your current products do not work with current UK Honeywell alarm systems, in fact the only UK alarm system it works with is the DSC one and that is itself virtual unobtainable here in the UK.
I would love to use your product with a current Honeywell system but many years ago UK alarm companies moved to using (what they claim) is a far more secure system than what your product supports and what seems still fairly common in the USA.
Whilst this issue may not affect your USA sales market it might do so in the future so is there any chance of you updating it to work with more modern alarm systems?
Newer systems like current UK Honeywell ones and other brands do have APIs even if getting the information can be hard work. As an example the following site uses a Honeywell Galaxy (UK) api to allow integration via MQTT. They claim they can even create virtual alarm sensors linked to other devices and monitored via their solution in to the Honeywell panel.

I believe for UK Honeywell systems one approach is to use their building services management api which integrates with their alarm systems. However some other solutions use a similar keypad interface emulator like I believe you do although obviously somewhat different.

Re: New Feature Requests
ust purchased a 4+SIDEKICK and i'm a little nervous I will be missing out on new features (by 2 weeks)- will there be discounts for owners of old equipment who wish to upgrade?GrandWizard wrote:Question #1 Not that I'm aware of. In the tech support lab we have the DUO running outside of its EMC casing and it is clearly nothing like an EVL4 + Sidekick. It looks like they changed a lot in this revision.

@GrandWizard
I see the new Duo is available on the Eyez-on e-commerce page. Do you know when it'll be available on Amazon? Thanks!

Excellent! Just ordered mine from the website with the Introductory Offer. Where should we post any Duo questions? Under which forum sub?GrandWizard wrote:The global chip shortage is affecting everyone.
But....I was told before Christmas we have 10,000 DUOs in our warehouse and we will be putting them up on our own store and on Amazon Jan 8, 2022.
Remember, we sold-out of our initial offering of 1,000 Sidekicks in 10 days. The Black-Friday deal sold almost 5,000 Sidekicks.
Either add your name to the EyezON mailing list or watch the site in the first week of January to get yours.
Re: New Feature Requests
New mobile application please. I use mostly on Samsung Android. Too many touches to arm/disarm. Take a "few pages out of the book" from alarm.com. I am ready to pay something for a better, fresher, modern looking app.
Re: New Feature Requests
Can you add the ability to use a non-default port for in the syslog client?
Re: New Feature Requests
Can you allow the use of longer and more complex passwords than 10 alphanumeric digits?

Re: New Feature Requests
That is already available in the DUO. It might get backported to the EVL4.
Re: New Feature Requests
Thanks, I bought my EVL4 in January. If I had known there was a newer version, I would have bought that instead.GrandWizard wrote:That is already available in the DUO. It might get backported to the EVL4.
