Question about the "Verify PIN" under Contacts

Question about the "Verify PIN" under Contacts
I have not seen any instruction about the procedure to verify your text message address. Where do we get this PIN to verify the address? How can I prompt a resend if the PIN is supposed to be sent as a text to my phone? I'm not having any luck receiving text messages on my verizon phone. I get other texts all the time, but nothing from my alarm panels.

I wanted to let you know that this is resolved, finally. And let you
know how simple it was to fix. Verizon has a MyVerizon.com site that I can
log on to set preferences. There is an option on the SPAM page to
Block Email to Vtext. That box was checked. I cleared that and my issue
is resolved. I don't recall ever having visited this page or making any changes. I don't know if Verizon changed their defaults, but this was the cause of my issue.
