Hello,
I have some problems bypassing with my IP100D and DSC 1864
I can do it from my keypad but not remotely through the mobile portal(app).
Have tried with both single digit and double digit zones.
I "successfully" go through the menues, but no command seems to go to the system.
(The "command queue" displays the correct order)
Any ideas what I need to do?
Thanks,
Bengt

Re: Problems bypassing
Could you describe exactly what you do from your keypad and what you are do from the mobile portal app?
Re: Problems bypassing
On the Keypad:
Enter [*] (to initiate bypass)
Enter
Enter [*] (to initiate bypass)
Enter
Code: Select all
(registered as access code 40 on the portal events)
Enter [Zone #] (or press >to the right zone)
Enter [#] to end
[Arm Away] from the Key Pad
On the Portal
Select the commands field "*"
Enter the Zone # in the Bypass menu
Confirm the correct zone with "Continue"
The Commnad queue displays the correct info:BYPASS - #(zone number) -Partition 1
Select the Arm menu
Select Arm Away without code
I'm puzzled...
No "Bypassing Event" is fed back to the portal from the portal bypassing operation as is done when doing from the kyepad.

Re: Problems bypassing
You missed the "Enter Code" part. Your panel is setup to require a user code and to use the bypass feature you have to disable this. It is section [015] option 6, make sure it is set. It is by default so somebody must have disabled it in the past.
Alternately you can just use the "custom sequence" command to emulate the keystrokes.
So to bypass zone 5 and your code was 1234, you would send...
*1123405#

Re: Problems bypassing
Thanks! That makes perfect sense.
However, I kind of like the concept of needing a code for such a sensitive matter.
At the same time the portal is great for not needing to know all the sequences by heart (on top of a stressful situation).
If I may wish,
perhaps you could add a field to enter the code at the zone confirmation menu?
Would that make sense?
