Tethering the DUO

My security panel is rather far away from my router.

has anyone had success tethering the DUO to a small router and then to the main router?

Tips tricks?

We are with Telus in BC

I ran FT4 alarm wire from my panel to the room where my router is located and installed the Duo in that room.

Not sure that will work either. The panel is on second floor. Router on main floor and all rooms are finished.
