My alarm company in Toronto recently upgraded my 3G communicator to a Alula bat-connect on my DSC panel and I noticed my Envisalink now sends a nightly message as follows:
Security Event: [*][5] By Access Code 40
Location: Home
Time: 2024-08-23 02:59:45
Partition: Main
Is this related to the bat-connect or is there a configuration issue with my panel?
The message is sent at 2:59AM each morning since the Alula was installed?

It means that someone with your master code is accessing your user programming at the panel.
Lookup *5 (user codes) in your DSC user guide.

Re: Alulua bat-connect with Evisalink - nightly message?
I got a response back from The Monitoring Centre. Apparently, the Alula Bat-Connect needs the Master Code to sync with the panel and pull down the configuration, hence the nightly messages.
I never gave the installer my Master Code, so I guess they must have it on file.

So they can disarm your system? Scary.
Also, the ONLY configuration in *5 is your user codes. So they would know ALL of your private user code information.
I would flip if I were you.
