EVL4MAX dropping off the network

Post by pyrodex »

Since the beginning of 2025 my less than a year old EVL4 is beginning to drop off the network.

I bought the unit in April 2024 and have had it running fine since then but recently it has been dropping off the network.

My initial configuration was using DHCP and I use DHCP reservations via MAC address to ensure the same device gets the same IP over and over via DHCP. After my second failure I thought maybe it was a DHCP issue, even though I had no evidence of this, and shifted the device to STATIC but then just had another failure in the past few days. For the entire 2024 since the purchase this has been completely stable with no issues.

I am currently running firmware 01.00.53A.

When the device goes into this state the unit looks like this:

When the unit gets into this state I have to completely power down the alarm and remove the battery to get the unit to reboot. I even tried unplugging and reseating the ethernet but still have no luck to restore without a full power removal.

Here are the dates and IP configuration after each time.

01/21/2025 - DHCP
02/11/2025 - DHCP
03/08/2025 - STATIC

I do use this in Home Assistant to help me control my alarm functions and use https://github.com/ufodone/envisalink_new for my integration but have been using this since the beginning for reference.

I opened a support case this past Saturday but haven't heard anything so coming here to see if I can get help.

Thanks!
