EVL3 Upgrade

Post by Ian_81 »

About to buy a EVL4 to replace my EVL3, do I just basically swap them out in the panel, or is there more to it?

No, you need to copy over your zone labels first. So leave your EVL3 installed, add the EVL4, and once that is working you can use the "copy" feature under zone labels.

You then need to enable your new EVL4 for all of your contact.

You can then retire your EVL3

I got a EVL-4Max from Amazon this week and it seems like somebody already purchased my card, activated it, then returned it. I get an error when trying to active it: "This device is already enrolled in our system."

I sent an email to "enquiries@eyezon.com" about this too.
Any ideas or suggestions?

Thanks!

I completed these steps and am about to retire my EVL3, but the monitoring subscription, keyholders and premise details have not copied over. Does "fix itself" after the EVL3 is retired, or do I need to contact eyezon support to do this last part?

Yes, submit a tech support request from your portal and ask for your monitoring to be moved over.

Thanks. Migration went well, thanks for the support! Eyezon support finished the monitoring transfer yesterday. Question, I saw my EVL4 has firmware 215, what changed from 213 (last reported in the firmware change log thread), and some folks have 214 which isnt in that main thread either.

This question has come up before. The Envisalink's code-base is shared among different build-types and products. A change for a non-Eyezon version of the Envisalink will increase the version number but have no bearing on our versions. I checked with K-man and this is the case here. So there are no differences between 213 and 215.
